Matthew Moghaddam co-founded City-Hydroponics in Newark, NJ to provide viable solutions to the pressing dilemma of food shortages and high prices for mediocre quality produce. The company’s social mission is to demonstrate the power of sustainable urban farming through the redevelopment of unused areas and underutilized structures in urban centers through sound ecological principles, methods and techniques brought on by innovative urban farming…to help communities sustain themselves and thrive.

The concept encompasses all the elements necessary to foster employment and education in a new industry, promote healthy living, and provide new business opportunities to small start-up companies and investors. It further engages community involvement and general public awareness of the shortage of food both locally and around the world.

As a contributor to pazoo.com, Matthew will tap into his unique and valuable expertise to help communities and people change the way produce is grown, purchased and consumed. He will also be available for educational seminars, workshops and technology demonstrations that demonstrate unique approaches to saving and maintaining our food resources and environment.
