Chef Eric LeVine
Chef/Partner, Morris Tap & Grill, Paragon Tap & Table Culinary Expert

Chef Eric LeVine is one of America’s most passionate, respected and celebrated chefs. He has received numerous awards and accolades, and is known as the “chef’s chef” – turned to by caterers and restaurateurs around the world for the latest trends in the culinary industry.

The International Chef’s Association named Chef Eric Creative Caterer of the Year and Chef of the Year — the only American chef to receive such distinction. He’s been twice featured in Wine Spectator Magazine with an Award of Excellence. USA Today recognized him as one of the Top Ten New American Chefs and The New York Times honored his restaurant, Pleiades, with a three-star rating.

Food Art Magazine named Chef Eric one of the Top Ten Chefs in America. He was featured in Jezebel Magazine among the Top Twenty Chefs of Distinction. Catering Magazine, Cater Source Magazine and Chef Magazine recognized him for his creative small plate creations and trend-setting approach. He has also made numerous network appearances across NBC, ABC, Fox5 and The Food Network, where he was the 2011 winner of Chopped, the network’s highest rated show.

Chef Eric’s cookbooks include “Stick It, Spoon It, Put It in a Glass” and “Small Bites Big Flavor,” which was written for the home chef who wants to please a variety of palettes at all types of gatherings, large and small. In the book, Chef Eric offers recipes with innovative takes on tried-and-true favorites using healthier, but still very flavorful, ingredients.

His dedication to healthier eating – and serving as Culinary Expert – is related to Eric LeVine’s most monumental achievement: being a five-time cancer survivor.  He knows first hand the importance of living healthy and having a strong support circle in fighting this life-threatening disease. As an advocate for the American Cancer Society, his contributions have been recognized with the organization’s prestigious Heart and Soul Award.

After spending his Brooklyn childhood dreaming of become a “rock star chef,” Eric studied at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, and after graduation worked under celebrity chef David Burke at the River Café in NYC.  He then proceeded to develop an international repertoire, learning the best of every culinary style. He studied with Chef Jean-Louis Le Massion from Le Petite Café in France; Chef Giovanni Brunell at Il Tratattoire da Familia in Italy; and Master Chef Lee Ho of Otani in Japan.

Currently, Chef Eric operates EXQ Consulting (for caterers and restaurateurs), serves as a contributing editor and advisory board member at Chef Magazine, and acts as Chairman of the International Caterers Association Culinary Council.  He is the chef/partner of two acclaimed New Jersey restaurants: Paragon Tap & Table in Clark, and Morris Tap and Grill in Randolph. He is also co-owner of Sarah’s Bakery in Charleston, West Virginia.

As the Culinary Expert, Chef Eric will be offering millions of site visitors recipes and cooking advice on how to make exquisite foods that complement a healthy lifestyle.
